Its Time To Find Your Power Color

Wear bright bold colors for an overall energy boost and give yourself and others a visual boost. Its ok to leave your comfort zone of basic colors and shake up your style and mood at the same time. You can revamp your wardrobe with the colors listed to change things up and make a statement.

You can lift up your mood by adding color to your wardrobe this season. On the runway, we've seen a rise in shades of reds, green, yellow, blue, pink and orange. Color is a powerful way we communicate without words, and it's also one of the ways we self-identify. The color of our clothing serves as a communication to others; it tells them who we are.


Here are what your color choices can say about you:

  • Red is energizing and stimulating

  • Orange is friendly and fun

  • Yellow is energetic and youthful

  • Green is reassuring

  • Blue makes us feel calm and trusting (and trustworthy)

  • Violet is creative and spiritual

  • White is pure and clean

  • Black is mysterious and powerful

  • Brown is down-to-earth and approachable

It's Wellness Wednesday and there are many tips to lose weight. The first that I will recommend is finding a favorite fruit. This will be your go to snack. I personally like pineapples, watermelon and as far as food goes I love cucumber and turkey. Find what works best for you and be sure to get a good journal as well to track what you eat and cut back on sugar and processed foods.



Generally to lose 1 to 2 pounds a week, you need to burn 500 to 1,000 calories more than you consume each day, through a lower calorie diet and regular physical activity. Depending on your weight, 5% of your current weight may be a realistic goal, at least for an initial goal.


Make sure you consider meal prep. Weekly menu planning can help eliminate binge eating and unexpected calorie spikes. Keeping a Food journal helps you keep track of how and when you eat what you eat. You have to get enough sleep. Being well rested is also the key to maintaining energy throughout the day.


Stay hydrated with at least two glasses of water before a meal. This definitely aids in weight loss or weight maintenance.


Try trading desserts for your favorite fruit. It also helps making a grocery list and sticking to it. Be sure to clean out your fridge and kitchen of most of your temptation foods. If its not there you can't eat it. Its ok to reward yourself with a sweet treat here and there but overall discipline is key. I will definitely throw a mini snickers bar in from time to time to curb a craving. Everything in moderation.
