Wake up your wardrobe & yourself for the New Year. Be bold and bad with animal prints. Take your wardrobe on your own personal safari. Try a zebra print hat, shirt or shoes to mix with solids of a red or black skirt or pants. It's a jungle out there might as well dress the part. Have fun with your fashion. Wearing animal print can signify independence, confidence, and nonconformity.

Why is everyone so in love with animal print? Controversial, but classic. Neutral, but a statement. Maybe it's our need for a lil walk on the wild side to love this print so much... but maybe there's more to it.

People who wear leopard feel beautiful, they feel strong, they feel powerful, they feel sexy.

Here are 5 rules to wearing animal print

  • 1. Start Simple with a Single Patterned Item and Black Separates.

  • 2. Let Your Outerwear Steal the Show.

  • 3. For the Office, Stick to One Accessory.

  • 4. Treat the Print Like a Neutral.

  • 5. Create Some Distance Between Mismatched Prints.

Here are some examples of animal print done right!

It is Wellness Wednesday and It is important to ask yourself this question often so that you can bring yourself more joy. Joy is wellness and my kids definitely bring me joy. Joy and wellness goes hand & hand. When I see my kids smile, when I hear their laughter. When I see them trying over and over when life knocks them down over and over. The bond they have with each other its so close sometimes I cant get in. Watching them level up, moving toward their dreams, I have very creative artist kids which make them different, they dont think inside the box and that brings me joy. Im definitely joyful to be different. Thats me! I love them beyond words. They bring my joy and energy and life. Its important to think of what brings you joy.

List all the things that immediately come to your mind that bring you joy.

Give yourself 5-10 minutes and scribble out a messy list of all the things that come to mind when you ask: What do I enjoy?

Don’t censor yourself. Write everything and anything that comes to mind.

Often a big part of the problem is that we don’t give ourselves the time and space we need to identify the things we enjoy. We never really reflect on what it is we need and what fills us up.

Some of the things I love: scented candles, tea, flowers, the smell of lavender oil, watching real estate videos, eating ice-cream, painting my nails, watching jeopardy, and hanging out with my kids…you get the idea!

The list doesn’t need to have any form or sense about it. As you can see, mine is a mix of all sorts of activities and experiences. If you want to organize it later you absolutely can.

The main point of this question is to give yourself the uninterrupted space to reflect and really think through what you enjoy.

Here are a few visuals of the things and people I enjoy.

I have a heart of Thanksgiving this year. I am thankful for where and I am and hopeful about where I am going.

I am especially thankful for my life, my family's lives, my beautiful kids and grandson and friends. The blessing of food, shelter and health are huge gifts, so many people don't have food shelter nor health. I'm here, I'm here my family is here living. I'm happy and blessed, so many people have gone on to the next level or have loved ones who have passed. When you are blessed to breathe and your loved ones are also blessed to breathe give thanks.

I wish you and yours great health, wealth and protection this Thanksgiving and always appreciate what you have.
