Let's talk about stress-

here are a few ways to relieve stress:

If you are unable to completely remove the source of stress from your life there are always things you can do to respond to it in better ways.

  1. Exercise - when you work out you increase endorphins which in turn tells your body to "feel good"

  2. Eat Well - we often respond to stress by reaching for fatty food. Reach for healthier options like colorful fruits and vegetables. Berries, nuts & fruits for the win.

  3. Edit Your Thoughts - Keep your thoughts clean, lean towards optimism. Switch difficult thoughts for more calming ones. When you feel pessimistic immediately switch your mind to gratitude.

  4. Sleep - Its very important to maintain a sleep schedule and get restful sleep. I tend to use ashwaghanda to get a good nights sleep.

Ways To Reduce Stress

  1. More physical activity

  2. Healthy diet

  3. Minimize phone and computer time

  4. Practice Self Care

  5. Limit Caffeine

  6. Spend time with people that boost your energy

Always remember: You can't pour from an empty cup.

You should wear clothes that are loose and comfortable. But if you are running or biking, avoid wide-leg or loose pants that could get tangled up in the pedals or your feet. For activities such as yoga or Pilates, stretchy, fitted fabrics that wick away sweat are a good choice. Here are some of my faves available at Nike.com and Adidas.com respectively.

Avoid clothes made of 100 percent cotton. Cotton absorbs moisture and is slow to dry. That excess moisture weighs you down, can cause chills, skin breakouts, and an increase in chafing. Instead, wear quick-drying synthetics and moisture-wicking fabrics to draw water away from the skin for optimal evaporation.

You shouldn't feel crushed. The material should be soft and comfortable, to prevent chaffing. It should also be made from breathable, sweat wicking material, to ensure the sweat is kept away from your skin, and your body is kept cool and dry. This helps to prevent discomfort and rashes, or body acne.
