Lets Plant A Tiny Garden!

Try growing a mini garden if you are limited on space or would just like to start small. I would pick all the veggies, I like carrots, lettuce, cucumbers. Pretty much everything you will need for a salad.

Then find a space saving method vertical for tomatoes, and raising bed for the rest of the vegetables.

If you want the freshest produce you can get, think about planting your own home garden—after all, you can’t get any closer to your very own kitchen table than your very own backyard.

Lack of space isn’t a reason not to have a garden you really like. Of course, not everyone has acres of land to grow huge gardens, but even a small backyard or a patio area can be turned into a gorgeous garden if only you know the easiest plants to grow in small spaces.

Be sure to pick compact varieties. You might assume that many plants are out of your reach because of their size, but nowadays, you can find smaller compact varieties in nearly every plant out there. Remember, pruning plants is also an option to keep them the size you need and still productive!

I also would use my window sill for potted plants, they would be able to get plenty of sun shine. Try herbs like basil, and oregano then you can clip right from the pot, wash and use for your pasta dishes.

This is a way to start a new hobby and get healthy in the process. Wishing you good health, wealth and protection.

If you are in need of some accessories for your new hobby I have water bottles and bags available on my Shop Tab.

Its Will Power Wednesday and lets focus on Wanderment:

I recently visited my brother in Charleston, South Carolina, he played host at his beautiful home. It was a mini get together with some of my siblings. I really loved seeing them. We went by the waterfront and saw the water taxis, dolphins (a dream for one of my sisters), at night went the dinner cruise and the food was spectacular. I started to get the traditional shrimp & grits but went for a braised beef dish that was more than delish. They even had a DJ on board who played music and sang while we ate. We went to the downtown farmer's market they have everything from soup to nuts and the historical Gullah baskets. The baskets ran for about $395. WOW. Also near the downtown market are horse carriage tours which are perfect for a romantic evening.

Charleston has a different vibe of its own from the food, the people strolling the street and men in their dress jackets and khaki pants and ladies in their sundresses. Charleston is the perfect place to visit. I would definitely go again.

Charleston, in the great state of South Carolina is a port city founded in 1670, has tons of cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages and pastel antebellum houses, particularly in the elegant French Quarter and Battery districts. The Battery promenade and Waterfront Park both overlook Charleston Harbor, while Fort Sumter, a federal stronghold where the first shots of the Civil War were heard, lies across the water.

Here are a few things to do in Charleston:

Start your day with biscuits.

Start your day with a warm, indulgent biscuit. Choose from nationally acclaimed Callie's Hot Little Biscuit (which has two outposts downtown)

Learn about U.S. history on the USS Yorktown.

While the historic city is perhaps better known for its significance during the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, you can learn about World War II, the Vietnam War, and the Cold War at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum, where you'll find the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier, a destroyer, and a submarine, along with other educational exhibits.

Walk down King Street.

A visit to Charleston is incomplete without a stroll down the main drag, King Street. On Lower King, find antique shops packed with all sorts of vintage wares; Middle King features a mix of locally owned shops and high-end boutiques; and Upper King is home to some of the city's best nightlife and dining.

Take a sunset cruise.

Getting out on the water — river, harbor, creek, or ocean — is a must when you visit Charleston. One way to take advantage of the waterfront location is a sunset cruise through the harbor aboard a catamaran or tall ship.

Its time to for a selfie self check....

I was outside yesterday and decided to take a selfie. Then the topic self check came in to mind, at first didn't want to take a picture without the help of my glam squad but I did it myself. Sometimes you have to strip free go bare face flaws and all, We want to be perfect all the time and that's not reality. We all have something we may not like from eye bags, to double chin, etc. It doesn't even matter. It is ok, we all have issues but we shouldn't let those bring us down. We have to celebrate what we love about ourselves. We don't have to do the glam thing all the time, don't get me wrong there is a time and place and I luvvv it but sometimes you just have to chill and embrace who you are. Its always a good time for a selfie check in.

Its all about embracing who you are without all the extra. Just you and your selfie.

I want you to look at yourself as you are and...

  • Stop thinking of other people, and wishing you were someone else. Ultimately you will realize you are equally worthy, doing the best you can, and working towards becoming who you truly want to be.

  • Start to value yourself more and more: partly for your unique skills and abilities, but you have to start to develop a simple and natural love for yourself and your life, just for who you are and what you can do with your life if you start to mentally take care of yourself and think positively.

  • Gain much more control of your mind, and your self-talk. You have to catch yourself before you start talking negatively to yourself and start thinking much more positively about yourself and your life.

Its time to check your selfie before you wreck your selfie.
